About BAIC BluePark

BAIC BluePark, a subsidiary of BAIC Group, specializes in the design, research, development, and sale of electric vehicles. It operates as a joint venture between BAIC New Energy and Magna, with an equity distribution of 51:49. It implements top-notch global technologies, equipment, and manufacturing systems. It also focuses on building a world-class intelligent connected factory. BAIC BluePark has an annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles, with the potential to achieve an annual capacity of 300,000 vehicles (including stamping, welding, painting, assembly, and storage).

Cooperation History

ARCFOX Milestones: A Journey of Innovation

  • April 2018 – BAIC Group and Magna signed a strategic cooperation agreement for a next-generation intelligent pure electric vehicle platform. Two months later, the joint venture project was initiated.
  • January 2019 – Launched the exclusive IMC architecture platform, the world’s first commercial intelligent architecture equipped with 56 advanced technologies.
  • January 2019 – BAIC BluePark Magna’s high-end new energy vehicle manufacturing facility was established in Zhenjiang, China, marking Magna’s first joint venture factory outside Europe. ARCFOX, BAIC Group’s premium intelligent new energy vehicle brand, began production here.
  • December 30, 2019 – The first trial production of the ARCFOX Alpha T commenced at the BAIC BluePark Magna Intelligent Manufacturing Factory.
  • September 30, 2020 – The ARCFOX Alpha T entered formal series production (SOP) at the BAIC BluePark Magna Intelligent Manufacturing Factory.
  • April 1, 2021 – The ARCFOX Alpha S entered formal series production (SOP) at the BAIC BluePark Magna Intelligent Manufacturing Factory.
  • May 26, 2021 – The ARCFOX Alpha S HI was officially launched at the BAIC BluePark Magna Intelligent Manufacturing Factory.
